RICHLAND HS CHOIR ENSEMBLES

At Richland HS, we are proud to have nine (9) performing ensembles within the choral department.

Cantus

This Tenor/Bass ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9-12 and focuses on vocal development and repertoire specific for Tenor/Bass voices.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble typically performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Cantare

This Treble ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9-12 and focuses on vocal development.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble typically performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Bel Canto

This select Treble ensemble is comprised of students in 9th grade and focuses on vocal development and repertoire specific for Treble voices.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Royal Singers

This ensemble is comprised of students in grades 10-12 and focuses on advanced vocal development and repertoire specific for Mixed voices.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble  performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Chamber Women

​This Varsity Treble ensemble is comprised of students in grade 10-12 and focuses on advanced vocal development and repertoire specific for Treble voices.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Chorale

This Varsity ensemble is comprised of students in grade 10-12 and focuses on advanced vocal development and repertoire specific for Mixed voices.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Chorale Treble and Chorale Tenor/Bass

These Varsity ensembles are comprised of members of Chorale (Varsity Mixed) and focuses on advanced vocal development and repertoire specific for Treble and Tenor/Bass voices.  Throughout the school year, there is an emphasis placed on vocal development/maturation, technique, sight reading skills, musical literacy, and ensemble singing.  This ensemble performs at UIL Concert and Sight Reading each year.

Royal Heirs

This auditioned ensemble is comprised of students from grade 10-12.  They serve as the vocal and brand ambassadors of the choral department and school.  This ensemble focuses of advanced singing techniques and choreographed pop pieces. Students can receive PE credit for this ensemble.  They perform around the district and community and sing the National Anthem at each Varsity Home football game.  They perform at every choir concert and at the end of the year, they headline the end-of-the-year show choir show, "Royal Heir Revue".

Royal Harmony

This auditioned ensemble is comprised of students from grade 9-12.  This ensemble focuses of advanced singing techniques and choreographed pop pieces.  They perform around the district and community and sing the National Anthem at various football games and pep rallies.  They perform at every choral concert and at the end of the year, they perform in the end-of-the-year show choir show, "Royal Heir Revue".

Royal Ts

This auditioned ensemble is comprised of students from grade 9-12.  This treble show choir singing technique and choreographed pop pieces.  They perform at every choral concert and at the end of the year, they perform in the end-of-the-year show choir show, "Royal Heir Revue".
